It describes female ejaculation as a smaller quantity of thicker fluid from the <strong>paraurethral glands, also called Skene\u2019s glands<\/strong>. Both can occur together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These research terms are not always used consistently in everyday conversation. If you are discussing an experience with a clinician, describing what happened is more useful than trying to choose the correct label beforehand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Does the fluid contain urine?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The same review describes squirting fluid as similar to urine and originating in the bladder. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.issm.info\/sexual-health-qa\/do-women-ejaculate\/\">International Society for Sexual Medicine (ISSM)<\/a> also reports evidence of bladder origin and urine components. Female ejaculate is described separately as glandular fluid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Calling the fluid diluted does not mean it has no connection to urine. Equally, a discussion of its origin should not be used to shame someone. This is information about bodies, not a judgement about cleanliness or desirability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Does squirting always mean an orgasm?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No. The ISSM explains that squirting can occur during arousal and is <strong>not restricted to orgasm<\/strong>. A visible release of fluid therefore cannot tell a partner exactly what somebody is feeling. The person\u2019s own account matters more than what an observer expects to see.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Do not use its presence or absence as a score for an encounter. An adult can say they enjoyed themselves without having to demonstrate a particular bodily response, and can say they were uncomfortable even if their body responded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Claims to question<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Be cautious about a guide that promises a guaranteed response, claims an exact multiplier for orgasm intensity, or markets squirting as a way to increase collagen or prevent ageing. The medical sources linked here do not establish those promises. They should not be presented as reasons somebody needs to experience it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A filmed sexual performance is also not a benchmark you need to match. Do not set a deadline, compare a partner with another person or treat hesitation as an obstacle to overcome. <strong>Curiosity does not create an obligation<\/strong> to participate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to discuss it without pressure<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you want to discuss the subject with a partner, first check that they want to have the conversation. \u201cI read something about this and had questions; is it a topic you are comfortable discussing?\u201d leaves room for either answer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A partner can decide that it is not of interest, or choose not to discuss a personal experience. Respect that without asking them to defend the decision. The ISSM also advises medical assessment for unusual vaginal discharge. Do not assume that a new or worrying symptom is explained by something you read about squirting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When asking for advice, describe when the fluid appears, whether it also happens outside sexual activity and anything else that concerns you. You do not need to arrive with a diagnosis.
